Thread: HTC Surround - Crash, Freeze, Restart, digitizer not responding, no sound with video.

I like to see if anybody else had these problems and are there any real fixes.

I keep having few issues.

1.)The first is sometimes when i record video the audio does not get recorded. As for the same reason the speaker phone does not work since its uses the same hardware.

2.)When I call somebody or they call me and i pickup they can't hear me out of the mic and everybody gets frustrated and hangs up.

3.) Phone will not respond and neither will the touch screen. As to power it off you need to lower the slider on the LCD and no cigar since the digitizer is not responding. Some of the time the phone will do a fast restart of itself, I'm assuming it realizes that the OS has crashed and tried to get you going again.

As a test, if I can record a video and have sound I know the phone is going to work fine. I was able to crash it today by playing music, having the speakers open and at the same time trying to take video. The video had no sound for the few clips I recorded and it crashed...pressed the power button and somehow it restarted.

Is there any way of doing a soft restart without taking out the battery that anybody knows?

I even purchased and replaced the micro sd since I noticed that if I sometimes scroll the the application tiles quickly I can see the list being populated by the square icons with the white circle in the middle....like if the memory was too slow for the device to access. Hell I even went as far and installed Mango 7.5 which makes the phone run sweet and fast..but again it crashed today but recovered by pressing the power button or it possibly just gave up.

Anybody has seen these issues or have a fix? I do like the phone but dam I never had so many issues with any other HTC phone I ever owned.

I upgraded to mango 7.5.

When I am playing music, a song may end and then freeze. I cannot access the desktop from the screensaver.

Phone automatically reboots when is lacking signal reception.
