Thread: How to remove 'ghost' apps?

I have at least 2 'ghost' apps on my device: just an icon that cannot be moved to the trashcan. Uninstall results in 'uninstall unsuccessful'. Searches cannot find the app. So in fact it is just strange - but nevertheless: how can this happen? And how do I delete the 'ghost'?
One app (T-cash) was not installed by myself (as far as I know), the other one (Polaris Office) was installed, bye me, but two days later already uninstalled, by me.

Have you tried long-pressing the icons and dragging them to the trash?

Yes, I did, but that didn't work: I simply could not 'grab' the app, pressing did nothing.
The problem however, is solved now, after HTC recommended me a full factory settings reset (for unnecessary reasons). After resetting 'the ghosts' were gone and so far did not come back...
