Screen goes blank at end of call
First of all hello, i'm an android newbie!

I have a problem with my htc wildfire s.
At the end of some calls ( not all ) this is an intimitant problem, the screen goes blank and does not wake up from the screen button.
The only way to wake it up is to plug in the charger or USB cable at home to spring the screen back into life. It wasn't turned off, meerly sleeping.
As far as i can tell the buttons do nothing either when this happens, it only happens at the end of phonecalls after the call is finished.
Is this a software problem or a problem with my device do we think??
Thanks in advance good people.
Timmy.

Maybe there is a problem with your proximity sensor. When you are making a call and put the phone close to your head the phone turns off the screen to save power. When you remove it again, it senses that it's not close to anything and turns on the screen. Well except for your phone... But if that is the case, I don't think you can fix it on your own :/

i am stumped now so it must be a software issue.

Another update on this, tried my girlfriend's O2 sim card and the problem has vanished, hoping T mobs will send me a new sim card and that will fix the issue. :S
