Thread: HTC Sync Groups & Outlook categories

Seam to be conflicts between Outlook and Groups on Desire contact list.

Using Outlook 2003 on Windows XP and I have aranged contacts into cateories, would like these to be replicated on my HTC Desire.

If you add contats to groups on the phone then settings are lost after sync?

Also not sure how to delete groups on my googlemail contacts account there is Friends, Family, Colleagues and Starred in Android.
Anyone found any use for starred in Android and how does this work?

No one else explored groups and how they sync on desire?

Yep, I have just got my Desire and found the same issue. I don't suppose you've found a resolution yet?

I have not found a solution. If you set groups on the phone and then sync makes no difference on outlook. If you set the groups for contacts on outlook they partly sync to the phone.
I think, but have not tested, that it is using google ccontacts list when sync groups as the groups there remain unaffected. Not much use though as if your main contacts list is in outlook you need to be able to catogirize these.

Anyone out there sucessfully syncing group to and grom Outlook?
