    Default Wifi problems

    Hello!!!!

Ever since yesterday morning, my phone wont connect to wifi when I'm at home but it will connect to any other wifis that are available. My wife has an iPhone & has no problem connecting so it cant be a problem with the router. My broadband is with sky & it sticks when trying to obtain ip address.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Is your phone and your wife iPhone were getting connected earlier, or this is the first time you are connecting to the Wifi at your home. Have you checked whether you are able to connect your phone with any other WiFi connection?

I currently have the same problem. The phone can scan and see all my neighbors networks but not my network which is 5 feet away. What a POS. I've just about had it with this htc junk.

Have you tried using the wps button on the router?

My Hero was always very slow to connect to my home wifi and even slower to respond to a web address. It could sometimes take 5 minutes to get onto Google for instance and I was all for chucking the handset in the bin. Well on Saturday past I changed my old Belkin router for a new Netgear N300. I just cannot believe the difference now. Accessing my wifi is MUCH faster but web access is just phenomenal - almost instantaneous! I think it's even faster than my pc now. I'm using Opera which, before the above changes, seemed to speed things up a bit. This morning, my ISP (PlusNet) says they are asking BT to turn on interleaving which should take about 24 hours to do. It apparently can increase ping times which may cause problems for online gamers (which I am not!) so it will be interesting to see what this does.
