connection problems
hi! i am facing trouble in connecting my htc sensation to a router....i got a broadband plan( a username and a password type one...) at home...i connected the modem(supporting the above mentioned broadband plan) to a router....now...when i connect this router from my laptop....it shows connected and i am able to access net....but when i try to connect same router to my htc sensation..it shows "Scanning.....then....Obtaining IP address from *****....." and then suddenly it shows disconected!!...
tell me what should i do?? should i install some "static internet connection" type app???
or do i need to make some changes in "IP Settings -> Use static IP -> ip address..gateway...netmask...dns1...dns2.."...if so, tell me how to find out these things...
Currently, itz( 'Use static ip' ) switched off....
PS-
when i take the same router to my collg...and type the proxy IP address and port number(given by collg.) in wifi-> advanced (settings)...and switch on the transparent proxy app (and here also i type the proxy IP address and port number) ...it shows connected and i am able to access net....
(without transparent proxy it shows connected but i cant access net...sites don't open)....so i think that means nothings wrong with my phone...
basically my phone works well with proxy....but not on static internet connections.....
guys,help me!
