No luck with finder here either.
“Phone finder" is currently disabled. For security reasons, go to your phone to enable this feature in Settings >> Location >> Phone finder.
This is the message I get even though it is enabled on the handset.

Come on HTC this is a big selling point for your latest Froyo mobiles. I purchased to enable te control over the PC!

I have had issues with the HTC sense website and uploading 'Footprints', and phone finder and here's the reply:

"HTC can confirm that HTC Sense.com is currently in development for use in a near future. Specific device variants, including regional or national variations that will have access have not yet been confirmed. Once more detailed information is available on the release date and which of the devices will use this feature then a more formal announcement will be made.

Now as they are advertising this on TV you'd think it would work??

My phone finer is switch on by default when I set up the account. I had the same issue too. I've found that if you switch phone finder off (Setting -> Location). Sync it (Setting -> Accounts & Sync) and then go back to phone finder and switch it back on and it will kick in. After I've done this, I refresh HTC Sense and now phone finder is active.

Default HTC Sense not working either on sending SMS on the computer

I have set up HTC sense and synchronised the phone with sense. but if I send an sms from the computer nothing happens. It does get delivered however if I sync again. Do you have to sync the phone every time you send an sms? If you do, that does not seem to fit in with how HTC advertises this facility and makes things overly complicated. ANd there is nothing about the necessity to sync every time you send an sms from the website in the phone manual. anyone had any experience of this?

My HTC sense is not working for me either.

I tried switching off Phone Finder, Sync HTC sense, then turning Phone Finder on.
That seems to solve the (“Phone finder" is currently disabled.) problem.

Similar to all, my phone appears to be in the middle of the world.

When I click on 'Refresh location', I notice that my GPS activate on my DHD. After a moment, the map showed the correct location of my phone.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi

I am having the same problem. I have done everything that has been suggested but it still says that 'Phone Finder has been disabled'. Is there anything else that can be done? This program is really useful and would be very good if it actually worked properly!
