SD card toast after 2.3.5 update
Hi,
My Desire HD updated to 2.3.5 with Sense 3.0 recently, which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately it killed my SD card, and photos music etc with it. I can't get any other phone or PC to recognise the card now. I have a (much lower capacity) spare, which works ok for now.
Has anyone else had this problem, and if so could you recover your data? I was using a 16GB SanDisk MicroSD HC card. I've seen there were SD card problems reported after the FroYo update, guess this could be similar?
Thanks in advance

Hi Sand0,
I also have a Sandisk 16GB micro SD card and recently upgraded my Desire HD to 2.3.5. My sdcard is fine though my problem is my phone keeps rebooting every 5 mins. After viewing the log (using logcat), it seems the VM terminates after some stack data permission denied errors. I put a blank SD card in it and it runs fine, so I have to figure out what is causing it, I'm guessin an app on my SD card isn't compatible with 2.3.5..
Anyhow in regards to your SD card, have you tried removing it from the phone and plugging it into a SD card reader and doing a disk check/repair via your PC ? Sometimes if it hasnt shutdown/unmounted cleanly it may need a clean/check (click on the drive in explorer then right click -> properties -> tools -> check now) to get it working again. It's happened to me with USB drives/sticks before, so I find it hard to believe it's completely killed your SD card. Also try removing, cleaning it and re-inserting as I remember in the beginning my phone sometimes wouldn't read the SD card.
Hope that helps, good luck.
