HTC Desire HD - Can't answer incoming call after system update
hi
I have strange problem with my HTC Desire HD (A9191)
I updated to Android 2.3.5 some time ago and since then I have a problem.
If my phone is locked, I can't answer incoming call from some numbers.
When there is incoming call and I pull the green ring to the bigger ring to accept the call, the phone wants to turn off and asks me to 'force close'. Of course, I can't answer the call anymore.
When there is incoming call and I pull the red ring to the bigger ring to decline the call, the phone totally freezes while still ringing. It keeps ringing for around 10-15 minutes and does not react to anything.
The problem does not occur when the incoming call comes when phone is unlocked (i'm using it at the moment of the call coming).
Please help,
K

I have exactly the same problem and have absolutely no help whatsoever from HTC since I mentionned it last month.
I'm a HTC fan and have the HTC Desire HD for more than a year now but I've been very disappointed with this issue.

I have exactly the same problem. EVERY time I try to answer a call while the phone is locked it force closes, and I have to ring the person back. This has only happened since I installed the latest sense UI update, (which beside this one issue is very sexy).
PLEASE can someone tell me if there is a fix coming??

I agree, the update is super sweet !
But somehow, I'm sure this crash has something to do with the Lock Screen feature. It really annoys me. I lose so much time relogging into my phone, calling back my friends over and over...

This was one of the problems I was able to get fixed after some searchin on the net.
Try un-syncing your facebook contacts then deleting them. re-install or update the facebook app and then re-sync the contacts to get them back. This fixed the not being able to answer the phone to facebook linked contacts.
It did not fix all the issues on my phone however which is why I registered on here to get some help.

Thanks Rab, tested and approved !
I was never too happy about some of the Facebook contacts appearing in my phone Contacts, it has therefore given me the opportunity to do a bit of a clean up of my Contacts list.
What other problems do you currently encounter following this last update ?

Also having this same issue, resetting facebook contacts didn't work, even tried resetting other social apps as well
is there gonna be a patch released? or is another System update on the way which will (hopefully) address this issue?
