Thread: How do I update from 2.3.3 to 2.3.5?

I have just purchased a second hand HTC Desire HD, it is on 2.3.3 software which although fairly stable, is pants in quite a few ways, such as not being able to take screenshots!!

I cannot find a way to update it atall, phone is not rooted as I ave no idea how to do this and worried that following guides online will brick the phone.

Can someone please enlighten me as to how to update to 2.3.5 or even 4.0.3 (but would prefer 2.3.5) I was running 4.0.3 on my HTC Sensation and it was very buggy.

HTC role out the updates for phones on a serial number basis, so some receive it before others. Have you gone into menu,settings and select about phone,then software updates and select check now?. It will then tell you if it is available. If not contact HTC support and give them your phone details and they will tell you. I would have thought everyone should have the update by now. 2.3.5 has sense 3.0onit and does take screen shots by pressing the power button and the home key at the same time. Best to have it connected to wireless internet to do the update.
