    Default 4.1 upgrade bugs?

I've just upgraded my Desire X to Android 4.1 and there are two problems:

    1. new text messages now always vibrate the phone and I cannot find any option to turn this off.

    2. The font size of text messages is now too large - the 'Small' setting is the same as 'Medium' used to be. I guess this is a bug?

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

I guess, there s a Vibration off settings in sound profile. U may try that.

Settings --> Phone --> Sound --> Vibration off for al calls and notification.

Im not sure about ur text. This may be bug. Just try it for multiple time power off and on.

---> After update, how s the performance of the phone like speed, lag and heating and all...?

I've looked everywhere and there is no setting that I can find that turns off vibrate for SMS.

I've rebooted several times but that hasn't fixed any of the problems.

The phone does feel a little smoother and faster in most places after the update. One other minor nuisance is that when you view SMS messages the phone number for each is displayed for a second then the name of the sender replaces it.

It's only SMS. There's a setting for vibrate on calls but that is switched off.
