Thread: random shutdowns

my desire z has a problem that it will turn off unexpectedly and the only way to restart it is to unplug the battery and put it back on....it's very annoying since i can receive any calls when it is randomly off. Can somebody please help me?

I have the same issue.
I have had my Desire Z for about a month and a half.
My phone randomly shuts down, whilst idle, for no apparent reason. Usually if I start it up again I have more then enough battery to keep the phone going.
I do not have to take out the battery to restart the phone though, just that it randomly shuts down.
I would appreciate help as I use my phone in lmy profession and I can loose contracts by not having the phone at ready.
