Angry HELP. Phone keeps on freezing when Moblie Network/WiFi is active.

Hi all, my HTC desire Z (Which is about 6-7months old) continues to completely freeze. It first started when i was using the home WiFi to update some apps from the market and all of a sudden it became non-responsive and even after waiting for a lengthy period of time it still did not want to co-operate. I took out the battery, put it back in about a couple mins later, and restarted the phone... then about 5mins after loading up and connecting to the WiFi network it froze again, and won't stop freezing when i re-boot after removing the battery. I thought it might just be a particular app so i removed the suspected app and tried again, no avail. I was suspect it might be that it was something to do with the WiFi so i used the mobile internet and still it persists. Since then, i have Factory default rest my phone and when it re-booted i tried to connect to the internet and still it freezes. My phone operates completely fine when i have the mobile network inactive, as well as WiFi.
Can anyone suggest what may fix my problem? Apart from throwing it out of a window onto a highway to be squashed like road-kill and then firing a rocket at it... Which will probably be my next t/shooting step.
