Thread: Two burning questions that I would love answering

I absolutely love my Desire, the best thing since slice bread, but if I had 5 minutes with the technical developer of HTC, these are the two questions I would ask

1. Is it possible to download some overriding switch so I can override my screen unlocking finger pattern when I am in my home or office? Obviously when I am out and about this function is invaluable but it does get very tedious having to re enter the pattern every time the phone goes into sleep mode when in the safety of my home
2. With the wonderful options of having a variety of different customized screens, would it be possible to have a setting so, let’s say at weekends the screen face/wallpaper/clock would automatically change to a previously set weekend mode. Then on Monday morning, back to business mode with the appropriate icons etc

Maybe I don’t need to see the technical bods of HTC, maybe you guys can help

First yes to both questions. It's all in the manual bud. Number two first, if you go into menu then scenes there are pre set styles there so you can just flip between styles for work or play. Think there is even an options to change them at set intervals too somewhere. Number one, you can either disable the pattern under the security settings or go on android market and find a no lock app. I have one and you have an icon on the home screen where one press turns the locking on or off, simpler steve

Regarding changing the phone face/icons, I have looked in the manual and have tried searching the phone menus but I don't think the displays will change anything other than manually. I wanted to have a different setting for weekends and ideally it would be great if the phone automatically done that so I woke up Sat/Sunday mornings in holiday mode with a non business phone. And then back on a Monday to my 'serious' mode
