Thread: New text message notifcations

Hi

I am a new HTC user and there is one thing that is bothering me about the software and that is the new text message notifcation.

Is there a way for this notifcation to only say "new message" instead of saying who it is from and what the message says before the message is even opened from the home screen?

I use handcent and you can disable this with there app
