Thread: Car Mode on htc desire

Has anyone any idea how to disable the "car mode" feature on the desire model??
It turns itself on automatically and when i try to disable it it just turns back on again, it's been going on for weeks and is really annoying because it turns on the loud speaker automatically. There is no mention of a car mode facility in the user guide.

I to am having a similar issue on my Inspire. I was really enjoying my phone then yesterday...BAM. Now its the most irritating thing for this "car mode" to constantly be coming on. And not only that but it turns the screen on and just eats the battery life. So sorry i have no answer on how to fix it but i plan on going to see if i can get it replaced cuz i cant live this way.

Any resolution that you arrived at by the way?

I wonder if it helps when you install the older version of the car software....
I installed it and it works fine.
