    Default Market

Just recently my HTC Desire has started to take ages to connect with the Market, so much so that it often times out. It used to be much quicker, and I am not aware of any change I have made, so what is going on? Any ideas? Jeremy

Is it the latest version of Market that takes ages to load? My Desire just updated Market and since then it's been rubbish. I much prefer the older version of Market and although I know I can roll back to the older version which worked well, it'll soon update itself...again.

Almost certainly not. Someone from the HTC dev team might, every once in a while, if they have absolutely nothing better to do, take a quick glance, but devs at Google? No chance.

I was having time out problems with the new, revamped market, too. As suggested above, I uninstalled the lastest update and - for the moment, at least - it all seems to be working again.

To uninstall the update, go to:

    Menu
    Settings
    Applications
    Manage Applications

Tap Market - which should be under Downloads - then tap Uninstall updates
