Thread: Phone storage troubles! please help

Sorry if this has been posted often or recently, I am new to this forum. My phone keeps telling me that I am getting low on storage and has been for 6 months now. I have tried:
>Deleting all messages
>clearing emails
>limiting the size of emails
>downloaded minimal applications
>set photo res to lowest possible
>cleared cache/ data often from apps
>downloaded advanced task killer
>force stop apps
>clearing internet files and history
>deleting photos
>deleting apps
>moved any apps to memory card that can move

However still i am in a constant battle to have any free phone storage space! Apps often wont update as there's no space, or i cannot read new texts or view photos as its to full.
I have been to the orange shop twice for help and they cannot figure out what else to do, so i rang htc helpline and the lady told me to 'clear cache' which i do all the time!
I have hardly any apps downloaded, and generally only use my phone for calls, texts, checking emails, facebook and google searches.

My phone storage is always nearly at maximum and my memory card is 2/3's empty! I have run out of ideas and still have a year left on this contract with this phone, warranty is almost up and HCT helpline didnt help at all

Is this a sole problem or have others experienced it?

I have the same problem, going to try a master reset, hopefully that will fix the many problems that I have with this phone..

hello, I had exactly the same problem, I almost thought about Rooting to remove the Vodafone apps however this would have only cleaned up around half a Gig so i didnt, I removed the updates for Maps, Adobe, and removed the auto update from the market setting, i then removed all the apps updates that i didnt want and also cleared out the contacts storage as it seems to keep hold of all the pics even when the otherside have changed the photo, this cleared out 60 Meg, good luck you are not alone :-) I got the sensation XL now however i will keep my Desire as a Fall back
