Thread: Videos & Photos Disappeared from HTC Desire !!!

Hi, I have HTC Desire. I had some videos and pictures in my mobile. I never deleted them from my mobile, I just transferred them to my PC and with transfer they disappear. I can't see them in Gallery any more. Luckily due to the backup software Astro, i have got my Pictures back but I can't locate my videos anywhere. To remind you, I just transferred them, not deleted them from mobile.

Try another image/video viewer program, such as Quickpick, maybe they will appear in that program. Or browse your phone via explorer, and search for videos.

Tried Quickpick on my phone, hasn't made a difference.

I found that when I made a video, it made all previous videos made the day before disappear - I connected to my laptop and found them in a sub folder inside the DCIM folder. I moved them back into the DCIM folder, and there they were on my phone when I opened the gallery, so basically the phone is secretly creating an invisible sub folder and shunting my videos to it.

What I'd like to know is, where is the sub folder, and how do I find it on my phone???? And how do I choose where to save my videos in the first place? and once they're in this secret hidden sub folder, why can't I see it on my phone?
