Thread: ugh... hope someone can help, or has an idea....

Ok, so like a few others I've found through a quick google search, I created a gmail account when I got my g1 and promply forgot all about the username I used...

Last night while at the bar, my unlock pattern was incorrectly entered (while the phone was in my pocket) too many times and now it wants to know what my username/pwd is to unlock it... I have nfc what my username is, though I'm sure I know the password.

I know the screen unlock pattern, is there ANYWAY to get it to ask me for the screen unlock pattern again so I can unlock my phone? Reboots, etc always comes back up asking for username/pwd.

Google is NO help on this issue, as if there is no secondary account (the G1 doesn't offer you to add on when you create your account) they will not help you recover your username in any way. Even of I know the password, about when the account was created, LOTS of info on the contacts stored on the account, etc... none of that matters, there's no help.

Also, if I just accept the inevitable and acknowledge that I must do a hard reset, my phone is unlocked and running on AT&T. Will the reset lock my phone again? Am I really going to have to accept that all my contact #'s are lost???
