POSSIBLE SCREEN OF DEATH
ive had my G1 for around 10 months now and apart from cosmetic damage i have not a single complaint about it. but i came back to my G1 after showering to find a multi coloured screen with some text. i tried to turn it off and take the battery out and turn it back on and i even tried factory reseting it but nothing seems to work.
does or has anyone experienced the same thing and knows how to fix the problem

Re: POSSIBLE SCREEN OF DEATH
The screen you are seeing is the Boot loader. This is because your OS is corrupted. To repair, you must reflash the devices operating system. The OS can be downloaded from HTC.com.
Did you have the device in the bathroom whilst you were showering? If so, then you may have damaged the mainboard. All cellular devices are succeptible to moisture & can be easily damaged by high humidity {Like in a Bathroom during a shower}. Open the back & remove the battery & check the LDI {Liquid Damage Indicator}. The LDI should be a small white square sticker. If the sticker is Red, then your device has been exposed to excessive moisture.I'm Lost; I've Gone To Find Myself. If I Return Before I Get Back; Please Ask Me To Wait.

Re: POSSIBLE SCREEN OF DEATH
The easy way: download and rename the rom update (or any other g1 rom update) to update.zip, copy it to the root of an sd card, insert in the phone, and it _should_ run and re-install the OS.
Other option is that your camera button is stuck (sounds weird, but i've seen it before)
Third option, like hippie mentioned, indeed, your phone doesn't like water
edit: oops, bad link, well, i'm sure you can find it.OMGWTFBBQ! Check out the amazing feature this forum has: Search! - Remember, Bricking your HTC isn't an achievement.
