Thread: No SIM card detected

Hi,
Can you tell me what can be the reason for not detecting SIM card? I have Desire's european version, I tested it with 2 Polish SIM cards and 2 Swedish ones - and Swedish ones are not detected.

Any idea what can be the problem? Is some kind of country-lock possible? According to manual, both PL and SE should be fine.

The not working SIM cards are quite old (>5 years). Can this be relevant? I tried to clean one of them, but no luck. They work in other phones without problems.

Any hint would be greatly appreciated.
