Thread: evo 3d speaker quality

I switched from the evo 4g to the evo 3d for the memory and processor. I love the phone until I have to use it as a "phone". the speaker goes in and out when the listening to the ring while waiting for someone to answer and when I'm trying to hear the person on the other end it sounds garbled and scratchy. Also, on the speakerphone you can barely hear the person. All my volumes are all the way up and as far the ear piece speaker tried to turn it down to not get the distortion and it still does it. Any comments or thoughts are welcome. I hope HTC fixes this I have read that it seems to be a common problem.

Yea the speaker quality is pretty low...I also wish they would put the speaker on the bottom like the iPhone because if you lay the phone down anywhere it muffles the sound badly.
