Thread: Heat and battery drain

I've had the 3D for a few weeks now and overall think it's a great smartphone. I was expecting poor battery life but on two occassions it went from fully charged to brick dead overnight (6-7 hours). Most apps, bluetooth and GPS off. I haven't experienced such quick drain during the day when I'm using it.

I have also noticed an excessive amount of heat while charging.

Has anyone else had these problems?

I contacted Sprint and they are sending a new phone, hopefully it was just a one-off.

When you first got your phone did the store that you got it from transfer any contacts? Check to see if the following are unchecked;

Go to your settings> applications> development> and make sure that the box that says stay awake is unchecked as well as the usb debugging

Also make sure that if you are not using the 4G,wifi, bluetooth, and your location setting is off if you are not using it.
