Vibrate THEN Ring
I am a new EVO user. I previously had a Blackberry and it had a Vibrate THEN Ring function on it, which allowed me to catch calls BEFORE the ringer kicked in. This was a great feature. I am not able set my phone to be on vibrate at certain times, as my schedule is not a set routine. I have looked for apps that would allow me to do this, without any luck. Someone suggested creating a ringtone and leave silence in the beginning, but all of the "custom ringtone apps" that I have tried, cannot do this. Any help?????????????

Best I can suggest is to create your own ringtones that have a period of silence in them to begin with.
Creating your own ringtones can be a bit of a chore if you don't have the knowledge of how to make them already though. - In that case, buddy up with someone who can.
BTW - I like domestic dark microbrews...

Strange - I think that's what my (original) Desire does with the "Vibration feedback for calls and notifications" turned on. I get about 3 "rings" on vibrate then my ring tone kicks in, gradually increasing in volume.
At least, that's how I hear it: I guess it could just be the track I selected taking a while to get going ..
