    Question chemical leaking from phone

My EVO 4g is an overall great phone, the last 4 days my phone hasn't been charging . On day 4 It seemed to be fine, I was texting and noticed my phone was extremely hot. I had it in my hand with cover on and I noticed a liquid leaking from charger port, it was clear, sticky, and had a strong odor. It's was also around the seam of the phone, this chemical burned my hands and they started to blister. I contacted HTC and they could not tell me the chemicals in the.battery (so I could neutralize the chemical) I finally relieved the burn on my own. I went to my carrier who said everything came back fine, but they wouldn't show me any report of this, and they handed me a new phone, sound right, has anyone heard of leaking batteries?

I don't know what it is or why but the same thing fluid is coming out of my phone. The phone has not been holding a charge very well for a week and has been getting warm. I decided to pop off the back cover to see if maybe the battery need adjusting or something when I saw a thick, clear fluid at the bottom of the interior side of the cover and on the phone itself. It did not burn me, nor does it smell but I am definitely concerned.

I had the same problem you had about the same time you had it. Went into the Sprint store near me and the technician there accused me of dropping the phone in water. The store salesperson told me that since I had a credit on my account they could sell me a new phone since they suspected that insurance I had on my EVO was not going to cover the damage. They wouldn't exchange my EVO for another EVO. After an hour of going back and forth with them I bought the Photon phone. They wouldn't even sell me another EVO!

    The old bait and switch.

Not only do I NOT have the phone I want I had to use my credit to prchase a phone that I don't want. And...I've been a loyal consumer to Sprint for all these years paying insurance that does not work to cover the phones I'm having insured.

This is the worst experience I have had with Sprint. I cannot even call what they have "customer service".

Sprint really must not like black people.
