HTC Flyer Review
Stylus, HTC Scribe
The stylus seemed less than impressive based on the video demos, and without handwriting recognition (OCR), there's a lot less functionality there. Instead of being called Scribe, maybe it should have been HTC Sketch?
HTC Sense Tablet, Android 2.4
Personally, I am disappointed by the interface; it seems choppy. HTC says that it'll be better upon release, and that the tablet will eventually get Honeycomb, but even so it's less than I was hoping for.
Look and Feel
The Flyer is thicker than I thought it would be. Otherwise, it's pretty much how I expected it would look.
Functionality
It doesn't have the phone features I thought it would have - it doesn't have microphones from what I could tell.
Overall
I'm slightly disappointed, but encouraged that they are already planning on an Android 3.0 upgrade. They should further evolve their stylus input functionality to support OCR and encourage app developers to get on board to integrate the custom API calls that are likely needed.
Grade: 83/100
