    Default Outlook sync

Does anyone know how to get around the desire of the HTC touch to want to sync with outlook? I don't use outlook and yet it keeps wanting to sync. Keeps trying to install outlook during every session. :x
Some nice advice would be much appreciated.

There is a program call get mail that I think Alltel puts on the phone that one you run it lets you get to the part where you have to do something with your email that I have never done but at that point it comes back all the time trying to get you to do what ever to activate the email.

Not sure if its anything like that but if so you have to do a hard reset and then remove the get mail program... Or I sopose you could just find someone with outlook and set it up?

I like my idea of just deleting it better.

I think I can "kill" get mail O.K. But then if it fails, a hard reset will do. Thanks for the idea.

you can change you sync settings with ActiveSync so that your device does not sync anyhting with your PC when you connect it. I never use outlook, but I have all my contacts and calendar synced up so that when my phone screws up i still have everything I need.

Outlook it great for adding pictures to your contacts and adding in al the small details for everyone since its a bit annoying to do it on your small phone screen.
