G'day folks. I have just ordered my first HTC this morning. Had an iPhone for the past 20 months and was going to upgrade to the iPhone 4, however after not getting one on launch date I got a bit angry and started looking around at what else is out there and having 2 HTC geek friends I started looking seriously at the Desire. After watching the videos on the official website and reading various reviews it turned into a no brainer decision.
Looking forward to getting my new phone, and using this forum to increase my knowledge of all things HTC.
Cheers for now,
Mark.

Hello Andrew,
Just (3wk ago) bought my Desire, it's a beautiful 'phone and I'm very happy with it. Is there some form of technical support moderator fromHTC who oversees this forum and occasionally joins in when one's stuck?

X10 is a bit too big and also more expensive as far as I'm concerned. I'm not sure about the rest, but I just got a Desire and so far I'm happy.

I've just (3wk) bought a Desire and I'm very happy with it. I didn't go for an iPhone because it is certainly over-priced and what's even worse it ties you into everything "Apple", I prefer my freedom.

As far as I can see that's certainly the future. iPhone is iconic and the guys from Apple are exploiting it to the max, making it a heavily over-priced device. On top of that it ties you into everything "Apple" which is certainly limiting your choice and freedom of movement, which to me, is more than money can buy.
