Thread: Appalling customer service from HTC UK!

APPALLING SERVICE: HTC phones may be OK when they work, but the customer service I have received from the UK team, following a fault with my handset, has been absolutely horrendous. I have now been without a working HTC device for the best part of a month. During that time, my faulty device has been sent back to me twice without being repaired correctly, at least two of the customer service personnel have been rude on the phone, and now, a week after being promised a replacement, I still haven't received it (astoundingly, earlier this week, I was told: "it's currently being built"). Despite previously being given assurances and told my case had been 'escalated', no-one has had the courtesy to return my calls or emails this week. I have wasted time and money waiting for couriers to collect (on one occasion I had to drive 15 miles to the depot to collect it myself because they couldn't give me a delivery time) and I am still without my phone. I have been patient and polite throughout, but I felt it important to share this, as I would hate other people to experience the same poor service. From a personal perspective, HTC is the worst company I have ever dealt with!

HTC has previously appeared on BBC TV's Watchdog programme, following complaints about poor customer service. Despite promises made that the company would improve matters (click on the following link to see the relevant story), my own experience would indicate they are still failing customers! I have been reduced to tears several times now thanks to HTC and their customer service. I sent my phone back over a week ago, as they said they would replace it (it's been back twice for repair) only to find that they don't have parts in stock for my phone, so they can't actually give me a new one, and they don't know when they will be able to.

No HTC for me now as long as i live!
