Exchange ActiveSync and Android 2.3.5
When configureing an Exchange account we get Policy error; unable to apply "device encryption enabled" with phones running Android 2.3.5. Phones with 2.3.4 and ealier dont have this problem.
Also upgrading to 2.3.5 when an account is already on the phone does not affrect the account
The Policy does not require encryption on the device or Rrquire encryption on the storage card.
Allow non-provisionable devices is ofcause not enabled.
We are getting this error on:
Desire HD
Desire S
But not on:
Wildfire S
after upgrading to Androind 2.3.5
Does anyone else have this problem?

Ihave a problem with Exchange Active Sync since the upgrade - it gets to the end, and instead of "finishing setup" it just goes straight back to the beginning - I'm caught in a loop!

I get this exact same error. Our activesync policies have not changed.

We figured out a workaround! We had to make a change to the activesync policy to make this work but it's not very intuitive that this would be the "fix." In the ActiveSync policy settings, we unchecked the "Enable password recovery" and it all works fine now. Not sure if this is just a matter of the Desire reporting the wrong policy issue when it can't sync...

We encountered the same issue and after playing around with the ActiveSync policies we discovered that the "device encryption enabled" message goes away when we disable the "Enable password recovery" checkbox in the Exchange ActiveSync policy properties.
