    Unhappy HD Mini Battery Life

    Hi there,

My first post so go easy! I know there's another thread regarding this but I thought I'd make this one as a fresh start on the problem.

I've had my HTC HD Mini for a few days now and found the phone to be absolutely incredible. The only problem I've got is the horrible battery life. Each night I find the phone completely flat and have to charge it throughout the night. Three hours before writing this my phone was taken off charge at 100%, and with only checking a few emails and brief internet surfing, no calls and light texting, my phone is already down to 70%.

If you look at this review, the HD Mini is supposed to have outstanding battery life:
Review: O2 HTC HD Mini - Smartphone Gurus

The reviewer managed to go through a whole day with everything activated in the background, email pushing, GPRS on constantly, facebook and twitter updates constantly.. and it still had 80% left at the end of the day. I've done hardly anything to the phone and in three hours it's already down to 70%. Surely this is a battery fault, and if so I need to send the phone back ASAP.

Can anyone else give me input to this? I originally thought it needed a few days for the battery to kick in, but I've had it for 3 days and it hasn't changed.

    Thanks guys!

    - Geraint

Just a quick update, it's now been 6 hours since fully charged and with using the phone for a few texts and 2 phone calls, it's now down to 50%. I've arranged a replacement to be sent tomorrow so I'll let you guys know if it is actually a faulty handset or not. Very annoying..

I have the same problem with my HD mini, but I guess there is a problem with its charging control software. Because sometimes the devise becomes decharged in more than usuall (for example in 2-3 days !).
