    Thumbs up Device memory full

Anyone help me on this - My device memory seems to be filling up and giving me the "device memory full" error - Every time i have installed a new app i have done so to the storage card - Any idea why the device memory keeps filling up even though I have now deleted all pictures, music, just about anything I can find that can be transferred to the storage card.

Email attachments are stored on the storage card - - i am baffled why i cant free up any more space - any help on this please ~

    Thanks in advance

Try checking size of your picture cache and delete if necessary.

    On my Pro2, it's here:
    My Device\Application data\HTC\HTC album\Cache
Please do not send your questions or problems to me using Private Messages function. Post them in the appropriate board in the forum so everyone can read. If you "pm" me with an issue you are experiencing, I'll delete without reply.

Followed your advice as mine too is getting filled up. As soon as I had a look on albums/pictures though, it filled up the Cache once again, but not guite as much :-)
There must be more possibilities, like Temp internetfiles, call history, old sms and e.mail files etc.
A list to go through for checking and deleting along with a path to the places would be very welcome..

Had a look at that whole folder - nothing of any worry in there - in fact i took a look at everything now and cant fathom out why my device has only 26.03MB free ... Maybe im missing some hidden files ? but I have checked the "hidden files" box within the Windows 6.5 GUI and still no joy - O well - Maybe i can survive on 26MB of free space for now....

If you use your device for the internet, you are continuously adding files to the device. Every web page you visit downloads cookies & other files to your device. If you visit sites that have a lot of pics, this will eat you memory up. You can store these temp inet files to your storage card, but it must be done thru a registry edit.
The file that I have attached is a .cab installer that will make these changes for you. Just download the file, unzip it & copy the .cab file to your device, & run it. This will make the neccesary changes to the Registry.

*Note: You must have a memory card in the device at all times, or your Inet service will not work.
*Note: This is for Inet Explorer; Not Opera.

BTW. This is for devices that have a mem card slot. The Memory card must be recognized as \Storage Card\ for this to work. If your mem card has another system name, this will not work. For example: An HTC Diamond with 4GB internal, recognizes the storage as \Internal Storage\; whereas a Diamond2 with mem card slot, recognizes the card as \Storage Card\.

There are also freeware applications you can install to regulary clear your memory of these temp files.

    ClearTemp is an example http://freewareppc.com/utilities/cleartemp.shtml

Not a prob. Don't forget to go into the \Windows\ folder & delete any TempInet, Cookies, &/or History folders. After you install the cab; all you temp Inet files are located in \Storage Card\Temp\...\
Not sure how the RAM cleaner ednap mentioned is, but you can find a great RAM cleaner HERE as well. This one was designed with HTC in mind & has multiple leveles of cleaning. I've used it on devices & it works great.
