Unhappy Please help! HTC HD2 keeps rebooting (soft reseting) out of it own

I don't know what the heck is going on with my HTC HD2, but the reboots are getting quite annoying.

Furthermore i noticed it happens when i utilize the cpu heavily.
Mostly with streaming video or playing games.

Have done multiple hard resets, rom updates and even custom roms but nothing seems to work.

Sometimes my phone even reboots(soft resets) after watching 5 whole seconds of youtube

So even directly after a hard reset the problem persists.
I'm totally confused right now(because i have tried everything i could do to fix this problem).
I am thinking could it be the battery not giving enough juice for the task? overheating ? or just faulty hardware?

    what do you guys think?

because i noticed that the problem is happening more frequently over time.

Edit: it rebooted even in idle a moment ago (1th time) ???

When did you get the phone?

Have you tried a full restore to original Factory settings? (make sure everything is backed up first). That way you know that its like youre getting your phone back to when you bought it.

That helped me when my camera started white screening.

    Hope that helps.

I have the phone for about a month.

    Default htc hd2 restarting

i have experienced the restarting when sat in standby and at other times of use.
    very annoying
i tried resetting and a ROM update but it had reached a point where it was restarting more frequently and was spending more time restarting than it was spending actually working.

a colleague with the same phone saw the same issue a few weeks back.
his theory is that it got moist and hot and needed time to fully dry out.
he left it disassembled for 2 days, re-assembled it and it's been fine since.

mine is currently sat at home seeing whether this works.

I experience this problem while charging after my battery gets completely drained. I generally warm-up my battery by rubbing with my bare hands, it works for me

Hi, same problem, HD2 arrived back today (under warranty) with new printed circuit board. I hear heat problems causes reboots. So, in short, get the phone fix, HTC call centre can help with local agents and I found them very helpful.

    Default Fix for HD2 Rebooting

I had the exact same issue with the HD2 rebooting whenever I utilized the cpu heavily. I tried multiple handset exchanges but problem persisted. It turns out the problem was the SIM card. I had one of the older SIM cards from 9 years ago. After I swapped it out, the phone worked perfectly.
