Default Strange question about HTC HD2

    Hi All

This is my first post so I hope it's in the right category. I have a HTC HD2 that I installed a custom version of android on (replacing the win OS that was on). It works a charm and I am very happy with it. I recently purchased an original HTC extra long life battery from eBay. I installed it and when I tried to turn it on, it was only going as far as the 'quietly brilliant' slogan before turning off. So I thought, it just needs a charge. But this is where the problem is. When I plug my charger in, it tries to turn the phone on, and the orange LED turns off. It just does not have enough juice to get past the slogan, even with the charger plugged in. I send the battery back though and got a new yesterday, but it is still doing the same. My old battery still works fine.

My question is this: Is there a way to prevent the phone from turning itself on until I press the power button myself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Regards,

    frankwas

No, it's the Rom you're using, it's not compatible with the extended battery, very few are. If you really want to use this battery, you'll have to restore your phone to Winmo factory, the way you bought it or find a rom that supports extended battery. Good luck.
