Default HTC HD2 high standby power consumption

I have a problem with short battery life on HTC HD2 which I recently purchased. By some testing, I have found out that my problem is most probably standby battery consumption which I can't get below 37mA. And most people claim healthy standby consumption should be 4-5 mA.

When on Airplane mode, consumption is 2 mA.

I've now been through Stock 1.66 ROM, various custom ROMs,back to clean Stock 1.66, and now (after Task29) latest official version ROM 3.14.119.1 with 2.15.50.14 radio (T-mobile version for Croatia). I've tried most of the radios on most of the ROMS, including the TMOUS versions.

When I have everything turned off (only 2G phone on) I get steady 37mA power consumption. Right now, I have absolutely clean 3.14 official ROM with included latest radio for my region. I have only AEBPlus installed to view the power consumption, and I'm getting 37mA. And this is what drains my battery. I'm almost certain.

    1. Phone is ON; Network Type is Auto; Band Frequency is Auto (I've trying to change those setting, but none affected the standby consumption)
    2. Bluetooth is OFF
    3. WiFi is OFF
    4. Microsoft Direct push is OFF
    5. Data connection is OFF
    6. WiFi Router is OFF
    7. I didn't touch ActiveSync (on default)
    8. Don't use Stocks
    9, Weather is OFF
    10. Internet sync time is OFF
    11. No social networks
    12. Only yahoo mail account, but update is manual
    13. HTC location service is OFF (Improve location service by collecting location data is OFF)
    14. auto screen brightness

Any ideas on how to solve this?
Could actually a weak battery cause high power consumption?

    Anyone!?

Another thing just came to my mind. Could an old SIM cause battery drain issues in standby? I have a first generation SIM dating to 1998 or 1999. SIM from last millenium.

I read somewhere that old SIMs can cause trouble on modern phones...
