HTC Sync problems
Along with the sync issues to google mail, I cannot sync to my PC. I have tried Vista 32, and windows 7 64 bit.
Right now on Vista 32, I have HTC sync installed and open, the phone connected, and I get the error message "Unable to find HTC Sync on your PC. Please make sure that HTC Sync is installed and opened on your computer. You can install HTC Sync from the SD card by mounting it to your PC or you can download it from http://www.htc.com/www/support. aspx. Note:for Windows only."
So, I have to ask....what the hell? Does this operating system just have several problems with sync?

Re: HTC Sync problems
Hi I had the same message this morning.
I managed to sync with my contacts and calender, but I may have made a fatal error. I have had the G2 for 2 weeks, and was originally told I couldn't directly sync with my microsoft outlook, so set up a googlemail account for contacts and calender.
now having managed to get the HTC sync working, I have had clashes. However within the HTC sync I can only update from PC to phone, but I sense I will need to remove all contacts and calender entries. This is the problem. Do I keep the googlemail account and continue syncing, or use my outlook running from my laptop. I like the idea i can update my contacts without having to bring my laptop, but I keep all entries on my laptop.
is anyone of a general app to truly sync these entries? or has anyone else had a simular experience.
