Thread: No.1 MS Exchange sync - cannot disable. No.2 Low memory warning

I've just updated to the latest OTA firmware on my HTC Hero and, as previously, reinstalled all apps, connections, data, etc, etc.

Everything works well but....even with my email sync set to 'manual' it still updates once a day. I rarely use the sync to my work MS Exchange and I definitely don't want it reminding me about new emails when it syncs automatically at midnight. Is this a glitch in the new firmware or is there a new setting that takes care of this problem?

Also, I can barely use some of the apps that store caches (like the browser) because, as soon as I do, the 'Low memory warning' message pings up. With over 30Mb free. The only way to solve this is to go into the App Manager and manually clear any caches I can find. Anyone found a way to solve this one?

Oh, and the phone's vanilla - no root (well, not since the update to 2.1 anyway - that reset the phone to factory defaults)
