Thread: My Battery Life Misery

Hello People, I hope you can help me.

My HTC HERO is 2nd hand all be it from a friend so I know it was looked after.

The problem is the Battery and the lack of its life.

After a hour the % has already dropped down to 85% if I am lucky.

Ive checked most threads and my screens just as blank as it can be, all widgets gone, no shortcuts apart form text/net/wifi setting which do not affect it at all.

All the Facebook/twitter/gmail are on manual update .
Screen on low res

Basically everything you can do to save the battery life I have done but to no avail.

Bought a new battery of ebay, not official(if that makes any difference) and the lifeis still the same.

I have to keep it charged all day at work then again when I get home with about 90 min each way for travel.


So is there anything I can do at all.

oh and how can you stop/disable Google talk running, never use it and wonder if that is sapping the battery.
