Default htc sync manager windows 10 compatibility

HTC sync manager won't connect to HTC One M9 phone on Windows 10. Same sync manager version works perfect on Windows 8.1. Error message claims new sync manager version, but there is none. Version loaded is 3.1.54.2.
    Any idea?

New htc sync manager version 3.1.61.0 solves the problem- although I had to uninstall htc sync manager and htc driver installer first. Just updating didn't help. I did a reboot after each step - just to make sure.
So at least for me the thread is closed!

I have a Desire 600 which has for the last 7 months refused to sync with my Windows 7. I have now upgraded to Windows 10 and the problem persists. Thoughtout this period I have deleted and reinstalled the Manager at least a dozen times and again after the installation of Windows 10. I have also enlisted help from Chat lines without any meaningful assistance; any suggestions from anyone out there please??????
