Default Sync- PC recognizes phone when syncing starts: "Can't Access Phone - No response"

I have had successful Incredible S syncs for the past 9 months. In the past two days I downloaded the updated version of HTC Sync and I haven't been able to sync since. I go through the procedure i.e. a) plug the cable into USB. b)message on my phone says: PC Synchronization Status: Connected. c) I press the sync now tab. d) HTC Sync program is started on my PC. e) My phone name is recognized. f) I press 'Sync Now'. g) the message on my PC is 'Sync in Progress'. h) within 10 seconds I consistently get this message: Warning: Can't access phone or phone have no response. (1100) . I have rebooted my PC and have tried the same steps above 6 times and always get the same message - the 1100 message. Any suggestions?

I have a similar problem after the update.
It now won't sync my Calendar.
"Can't access phone or phone have no response. (1100)"

It used to work perfectly. Help!

Default "Can't access phone or phone have no response. (1100)"

I am having the same issues since the update. I have restarted both the phone and computer looked for new settings with no success.
Prior to this update the Sync function worked without a hiccupp every time.
DO we roll back the update , or will it just automatically update back to the new version

    HELP please !

I have the same problem since I installed the new release.
I am going back to the previous one. I'll tell you if it is better.

I have the same problem after updating.
Obviously HTC must step in and help us all resolve this.
After all, this is a HTC forum.

I have a Desire 2 with the same problem.
I'm new to this forum do we just wait until HTC sort it out. Has this kind of thing happened before.
I have just un-installed HTC syn and reloaded just in case didn't work.
How does one reload the older software as mentioned in a previous post
