Thread: new message notification problem

you know how when you have a new text message or messages, there will be a number on top of the messaging tab showing how many new messages you have. well, i have no new messages but it's still saying i have new messages. it was saying i had one new message for over a week and a few hours ago, it started saying i have 2 new messages. i've restarted it and i've totally deleted all my of my inbox, outbox, sent and drafts and it's saying i have 2 new messages in the inbox and 1 in the drafts. anyone know if there's anything i can do to fix it or do i have to wait for some kind of software update for it to fix itself? thanks for any help.

Okay playing with the Imagio ALL day trying to figure this out I FOUND THE ANSWER!

The mystery is solved! =D

Okay so, I started looking into the program FixUnreadCountat first it was no success, I kept trying to download it and nothing worked finally I fond the websit, this is done right from your web broswer on the Imagio,

After you go to the website click on - Download from Server 2

Then it takes you to another page RapidShare where you have the option of buying a membership of course someone is trying to sell you something but since we like our apps free under the first "SpeedOMeter" theres a button "Free User" click on that

That opens up another page where you have another button in the middle with an arrow facing down in a blue bubble that says download click that

It will open up your downloads and save it into which ever destination you would like, I choose my documents

Once it is downloaded click it, the broswer will opt for you to trust the program RUN the program and WALA that annoying wrong counter is gone!

it worked for me. just turn on and off the phone and let it boot back up. wait a few min and the number will go away on the home page for the incorrect new messages.

Yeah, this "FixUnreadCount" software fixed it for me too!

I also noticed though, that in the last 2.5 months it has come back a time or two since I originally fixed it with this app. I don't think its a fault of the app, for sure, but it would be nice to see a software upgrade that would correct this for good!

That link on the page above appears to not be working. I did a hard reset two days ago to fix this issue only to have it return last night. After a lot of searching i found the program somewhere else. just download unzip and transfer to your phone and run it. Soft reset and you are good to go!!
