Just got my Legend with the mail today, and I'm recharging it now. I read in the manual it should have 3 hours for fully recharging, but some says it should have 24 hours? How long shall i recharge it, im desperate of playing with it![]()

The amount of time required for charging will depend on the charging method used. if using the wall charger that was included with the device; you will finish recharging in a few hours. If using a PCs USB port to charge, it will take approximately twice as long. Either way; plug the device in & wait for the LED to indicate a full charge. To ensure maximum battery life; wait for the battery to completely die before recharging.
Most HTC wall plugs output 5V@1A, where as a PCs USB port will output 5V@500mA. Since the USB ports have half the Amperage of the wall charger, it takes a lil longer to charge fully.

That's what they say but thats total BS. L-Ion Batts do suffer from the "memory effect". They just don't show it as quickly as the old NiCd batts did. I know this from personal experience with my personal devices.
I noticed significant differences in my Diamonds battery lives. One Diamond I used for flashing & testing custom ROMs, & the other was used as my personal device. The one that was used for testing ROMs got recharged frequently & was never allowed to die off before charging. My personal Diam was never recharged until the device died off. After several months, the battery in the test Diam took longer to charge & lasted about half what my personal Diam would.

You could have been experiencing this effect: (source: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-li...on-battery.htm )
"Though the batteries do not suffer from the memory effect, it is just the opposite that users should be wary of. Lithium ion batteries shouldn't be run all the way down before charging; they respond much better with constant recharges. Battery gauges, on the other hand, are often impacted and display incorrect readings from this practice. This leads some people to believe a memory effect exists, when in fact it's the meter that needs to be reset. Draining the battery all the way down every 30 charges or so can recalibrate the gauge."
