Thread: Wifi, signal and battery problems

I was really hyped to buy this phone, until I heard about wi-fi and bad signal problems. I've heard different things about how some of the devices are faulty, or that the receiver is just bad by default, or that maybe it's a software problem etc... I've heard some stories with battery life being short, since it's trying to compensate for better signal..

I've spent too much time on the net checking what's wrong, with no definite conclusion.

So could someone please explain what exactly is the problem, if it's fixable, if it is, when it's gonna be fixed.

I have the Legend since the beginning of June.
I have no problems with WiFi, signal.
In fact I have no problems at all.

I charge it every night, and the battery generally lasts a full day or more, depending on what I do with it.
I noticed that when Bleutooth is on, the battery drains quicker. I have WiFi always on, bleutooth only when I need it (in the car only).

I'd buy a Legend again anytime.
I just hope they release Froyo for the legend soon !

I have just got one of these phones and i cant stop looking at the screen. It has some great features and some strange ones esp on the phone and text side.
The battery wont last a working day, i unplug it at 7.30am and 4.50pm its in the yellow, by 8pm its in the red. This is not using it much and with the wifi on at home only, No blurtooth is on either. I will get a car and charger for work but because of the signal issue i dont want to spend any more money on this phone yet.

The Wifi is the best yet nothing i have used is better these who have problems might find its their router, but the 3g/gprs is the worst i have every had. I believe an update did this, so there is hope. Setting the phone to gprs only does not do anything.

Where i work we have a 3g mast on the roof yet still i get cross on the signal bar every other time i unlock it.

The lock button is at the top, it would be better on the side but i can live with this.

The camera is ok but not as good as other phones, even ones with 3mp camera's, yet the video is very good compared to other phones.

So my advise is wait till the 2.2 comes out and see what people say.
