Thread: How do I change sms sort order

On my HTC Legend all my sms messages are shown in the wrong order. I get the oldest one first which is very annoying. How do I change the sms sort order?

I have exactly the same problem, which is annoying when we have to scroll all the way down to read the last SMS.

Sorry if anything I say is wrong: I do not use Android, I use WinMO. But, I believe that the prog used is the same. These are the steps on my HD2 {US version}.

1} open the SMS prog
2} on main page; tap "Menu"
3} tap "Sort By"
4} tap "Time"

Each time that "Time" is tapped it changes from ascending to descending to ascending to ...

Again; this is on the HD2 with WinMo, but should be similar on the Droid's SMS prog. My buddy has a Droid Eris but he's at work now so I can't double check my answers. If he stops by tonight; I will double-check it on his 'Droid.

Same issue here, i believe this was due to some update, so hope the 2.2 update will cure this.

I couldnt find an answer to this so I installed chompSMS (from the market) and it works as you expect it Im sure there are other programs but I like this one

I believe that sorting order is corrected by FroYo update.

Great the 2.2 update has sorted out this problem.
