Default HTC One X: lockscreen and touchscreen stuck

    Hi,

For not even a year I have been using my HTC One X. And now I am experiencing a problem. The lockscreen is only unlocking after several attempts during 30 sec. When unlocked I am able to use the touchscreen for about 1 min before it gets stuck, and it is not usable anymore because there is no response. Also when I leave the touchscreen 'open' and I use the screen for about 1 min I cannot swipe it anymore and I have to lock it down again. So the whole problem starts again from the start.

    I have already tried:
    - rebooting several times
    - factory resetting through developer mode

I am not a developer. I only do have a healthy interest in new tech.

Does anyone have a clue what is happening here? And even better, how I can solve the problem myself?

    Thanks in advance.

hi i have the exact same problem with my one x the screen keeps jamming and works intermittently the phone is only one year old on orange network i rang orange customer services and they were really helpful they did a diagnostic on the phone and it came back with a fault code FW242 they told me it was related to the touch screen fault its a software problem with the phone so advised me to call htc as it was still under warranty Thats where the problems began after calling htc i gave them my details and they arranged to collect my phone the next day i took a day of work and guess what they never turned up they finally collected the phone 2 days later i never heard anything from them for six days then finally received a email saying my phone is not covered under warranty and that if i wanted it fixed it would cost me 602.05 after the laughter i decided not to go ahead with it for some strange reason so i tried to click on the link to return my phone back to me unrepaired the web site crashes and after 5 different phone calls over a two day period and 6 different links to have my phone returned i still have not got my phone back after yet another 20 minute phone call tonight they cant find my phone so i am still no better about my phone and to top it off my Wifes phone as started to play up aswell and guess what its a htc exactly 1 year old i will never have a htc again very poor phone and even poorer aftercare

I'm sorry to hear that, merthyrbutt. However, it is good to hear that it's a software problem. Then maybe somebody will finally find a solution!
