You can't disable McAfee as such, but you can stop some of its processes from running at boot, just disable them in MSCONFIG or use CCleaner's startup tools, however you will still get warnings from McAfee that something's wrong so it isn't a permanent solution. How come you can't uninstall it? If it's only a trial version then how about uninstalling it and getting another trial version when you need it?
