    Default HTC unknown phone

Someone recently left a phone at our bed and breakfast. All it says is htc and on the back2.0 megapixels. I turned it on to see if I could find out who it belonged to and saw a message indicating very low battery. I found an adapter here that fit and it appeared to charge, but I can't turn it on. Any suggestions?
I had an iPhone but am not familiar with this device and if there is a way to look inside to find model.

I'd like to return it to the owner. Thanks,

    Peggy

Flash! Just turned it on but don't know where to go from there. If we can figure out the model and I can see a manual with instructions on line. Thanks again, Peggy

You should be able to find out the model by removing the back cover, there should be some info there, possibly under the battery

So how do I get the back cover off? It doesn't seem to slide and I don't want to break anything. THere's something that looks like it might be a handle on the back that says 2.0 mega pixels, but doesn't seem to move and i think it might be the camera. Maybe I should just give up!!

Look at the top of the back cover. Is there a slot you can get a fingernail into? That's how you get the back off of my HTC phone: insert fingernail and pull backwards until it comes off. If you're gentle enough but persistent, it should come off. If there's no slot, your guess is as good as mine...
