Thread: No Luck Syncing Desire S to PC

Hey everyone, I'm at my wits end here. I've searched online for an answer but nothing seems to be working.

Basically, my pc and my phone do not recognise each other. I've tried unistalling/reinstalling HTC sync to no avail, I've tried changing the 'connect to pc' setting on my phone yet when I plug my phone in literally nothing happens save for the battery starting to charge. I really am at a loss here! I am not that tech savvy so any help would be appreciated.

By the way I've got a Desire S (which I adore in every other regard) and run Windows XP.

I've now tried plugging it into the computer at work and guess what, it works fine! Despite the fact that the work computer is a heap of crap.

I've had a look through firewall settings and there's nothing I can see stopping it, every other usb device I have works without a hitch.

Can someone please help me, it's driving me insane!
