Thread: WFi Tmobile

I recently purchased a used S621 "Dash". I have Tmobile service but do not suscribe to any type of data plan, not even the "Hot Spot" service. Can anyone tell me if the WiFi will still work without a data plan from Tmo? I can see open connections but get an error when I try to use the internet in WiFi zones.

I don't know why it wouldn't work here in eu i don't think anyone uses wifi plan for smartphones.

It should work with no problems. You stated that you see "Open connections". Are you actually connected to them or are they just there? If you don't actually create a connection, then you are not connected. Most private WiFi systems are password protected & require a login. Many "HotSpots" are open & password free, but you still need to estalish a connection before you can transmit or receive data.

If you are connected; then the problem is in the device's settings.
